Scheduling Guidelines:
- Appearances are scheduled between 9 AM Eastern and 9 PM Eastern Standard time (please convert all time requests to Eastern Time).
- When requesting that I speak to your club, please provide a choice of dates and times. The more dates you can provide, the easier it will be to schedule an appearance. The time you request should generally be 30 minutes to an hour after your group begins its meeting, so that you’ll have had some time to settle in first.
- Appearances are not limited to the United States. As long as it can be scheduled within the hours listed above, I am happy to chat with readers in other countries.
What Happens Next? Appearance Details
Once you’ve made your request, I will be back in touch with you, typically within a day but no longer than within a few days. Through a subsequent exchange of emails, we’ll settle on a confirmed date and time. Plan for me to begin 30 minutes to an hour after your club gets together. By that point, you’ll have begun to discuss the book amongst yourselves, and I will then be there for the next half hour to answer any questions your group might have about the book, about writing, or about the publishing industry generally. If there are certain topics or areas you know you’d like me to cover and you wish to submit some questions in advance, please feel free to do so via email.
